Junk Genius was started by Mike Reimann, an owner-operator and former professional hockey player. For about 15 years, Mike has been building the company one job at a time: fair pricing, clear communication and a better way to handle the things you no longer need.
Mike is still involved in the day-to-day business — on job sites, meeting customers for estimates, answering calls and helping the team. Show us what needs to go. We handle the rest.

From the rink to the job site

A former professional hockey player, Mike brought hard work, teamwork, accountability and doing the job right into business. He’s not just behind a desk. You may see him on a job site, meeting a customer for an estimate, talking on the phone or helping with day-to-day operations. That’s the way he wants it to stay.

Donation & recycling

We don't look at everything as garbage. We've built real relationships with donation centers and recycling partners over the years, and we lean on those relationships on every job: usable furniture goes to donation, metal gets recycled, and electronics (one of the biggest parts of what we haul) get broken down and processed the right way instead of landfilled. We can't promise every single item gets saved from the landfill, but it's the first question we ask on every load, not an afterthought.
Our crew doesn't turn over the way a lot of junk removal companies do. Guys stick around for years, and it shows in how the jobs run. We treat each other, and our customers, like family, and once people join this team, they tend to stay. That continuity means the person loading your truck today probably loaded one last month too, and knows the standard we hold every job to.
